The Department of Education (DfE) has introduced two new sets of standards for IT services and digital accessibility.
These guidelines, ensure that schools, colleges and Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs) use the right digital infrastructure and technology.
A few of the standards addressed in the DfE guidelines include:
- Laptop, Desktop, and Tablet Standards: Ensuring that students and staff use the correct technology to support their learning and teaching. Devices should be secure and safe with the correct safeguarding measures, while also being energy-efficient and sustainably bought and disposed of.
- Cloud Solutions Standards: Schools and colleges need to ensure that they manage access, availability, data protection, and backup of cloud storage correctly.
