Framework scope
The framework will encompass all areas of Playground, Fitness and Sports Equipment and Leisure Facilities from provision of Goods to an end-to-end Service.
Each LOT under this framework will include, but not be limited to:
- Consultancy
- Design and planning
- Inspections and testing
- Installation
- Maintenance
- Repairs
- Supply of equipment

Who can use this framework?
All public bodies have access to this framework with the agreement of the contracting authority (KCS Procurement Services). Those organisations who may wish to access this framework will be the police service, the fire service, the NHS & NHS trusts, third sector organisations, academic centres (including academies), publicly funded organisations and publicly owned private companies, operating within the geographic boundaries of the United Kingdom, Channel Islands and Northern Ireland.
The framework is also open for use by all other local authorities and public sector bodies. Full details of the classification of potential contracting bodies and end user’s geographical areas and organisation classifications can be found in the FTS notice.
LOT 1
Playground Equipment (Indoor and Outdoor)
This LOT will cover all goods and services associated with indoor and or outdoor playground areas, including, but not limited to educational and recreational environments.
The types of playgrounds and activity equipment include, but not limited to:
- Activity panels
- Activity walls
- Adventure trails
- Climbing equipment
- Indoor and outdoor playground
- Metal and timber outdoor play
- SEND (Special Educational Need and Disability) equipment
- Trim trails
LOT 2
Gym Equipment and Surfaces
This LOT will cover all goods and services associated with gym environments including surfaces. This will include but will not be limited to:
- Accessories
- Cardio equipment
- Flooring and mats
- Functional training equipment
- Group exercise equipment
- Strength equipment
LOT 3
Leisure and Play Equipment and Surfaces
This LOT will cover all goods and services associated with any outdoor and or indoor leisure and play environments, including, but not limited to educational and recreational environments.
This LOT will include, but will not be limited to:
- Fencing
- Multi sports goals and baskets
- MUGA (Multi Use Game Areas)
- Rebound walls
- Sports panels
LOT 4
Urban Play Equipment and Surfaces
This LOT will cover all goods and services associated with urban play environments, including, but not limited to, those within educational and recreational environments.
This LOT will include, but will not be limited to:
- BMX equipment
- Outdoor fitness equipment
- Parkour equipment
- Safety surfacing
- Scooter equipment
- Skateboarding equipment
LOT 5
Waterplay (Indoor and Outdoor)
This LOT will cover all goods and services associated with any indoor and outdoor waterplay environments including, but not limited to, those within educational and recreational environments.
This LOT will include, but will not be limited to:
- Interactive waterplay systems
- Splash pads
- Water features
- Water slides
How to access the framework
This framework allows for customers to place their orders via direct award or further competition.
The customer is strongly advised to carry out their own due diligence before selecting whether they conduct a further competition or direct award with any of the awarded suppliers. The customer will determine the requirement, specification and award, based on the Most Advantageous Tender (MAT). Procurement Services takes no responsibility for the chosen contracting method of any individual customer.
